Vermicomposting is an organic process in which specific species of earthworm are used to convert biodegradable wastes into manure, thereby creating an ideal organic manure for better plant growth in your garden.

Members of Gauravi Mahila Bachat Gath have set up vermicompost pits in their village Jhaap in Jawhar taluka in the Palghar district with the hope that their produce will help them generate enough income so that they do not have to migrate to the cities in search of alternate income.

The products are being marketed under the brand name “Sanjivani”.
