In the villages of Dindori and Jaulke, two inspiring groups of women are quietly transforming their lives through enterprise and determination. Srinivas Mahila Bachat Gath from Dindori and Ahilya Bai Holkar SHG from Jaulke have recently started their micro business of producing fresh flour varieties such as wheat, rice, jowar, and nagli. What began as a small effort has now become an important alternate source of income for their families. With every pack they sell, these women are able to contribute to household expenses, support their children’s needs, and reduce financial dependence on others. More than just earning money, this journey has given them confidence, dignity, and the pride of standing on their own feet. Their flour business is not only nourishing homes with healthy products—it is also creating self-reliant and independent women in rural communities.
